Vehicle details
This two-door body belonged to the redesigned compact Blazer introduced in 1994 from the S-10 SUV family. Smoother styling replaced the angular S-Blazer appearance, while a separate ladder frame, live rear axle and leaf springs retained its truck-based foundation. Two side doors and a short wheelbase accompanied seating for two in front and two behind. The 2005 rear-wheel-drive version paired a 4.3-liter Vortec V6 with a four-speed automatic; other configurations offered a manual and four-wheel drive. It retained the character of a small truck-based SUV as passenger-oriented crossovers became more common. While the larger K5 lineage moved toward the Tahoe name, this smaller body continued as Blazer.
