Vehicle details
The original Camaro arrived as a four-seat coupe and convertible with a long hood and short rear deck. The Sport Coupe used a fixed roof, a front-mounted engine and rear-wheel drive. Powertrain choices ranged from an entry-level inline-six to several V8 engines, spanning everyday motoring and high-performance use. The standard 1967-model230 inline-six was paired with a three-speed manual, establishing one of the original configurations in the long-running Camaro lineage.
