Vehicle details
The second Corvair Convertible combined a long, low body with a folding roof and seating for four. The 1965 Monza Convertible used a two-door body and separate front seats, opening the cabin above both rows when the roof was lowered. An air-cooled flat-six and rear-wheel drive were retained, with a redesigned independent rear suspension replacing the previous arrangement. The standard 164-cubic-inch engine used two single-barrel carburetors and was advertised at 95 gross horsepower. This representative specification paired it with a three-speed manual, distinct from optional higher-output engines and automatic transmissions.
