The Sting Ray generation brought a low coupe body and independent rear suspension to Corvette.

Selected generation models, including overseas specifications

Vehicle details

The Sting Ray introduced a fixed-roof coupe to Corvette. A pointed nose, concealed headlights and a roof tapering behind two seats shaped its appearance; the first coupe used a distinctive divided rear window. A new chassis and independent rear suspension accompanied the styling change. The standard 1963-model V8 used a carburetor and a three-speed manual, while alternative engine outputs and transmissions expanded the range.
