Vehicle details
The C5 Convertible was a two-seat open-top sports car with a separate rear trunk. Its manually folding soft top incorporated a heated glass rear window and preserved useful luggage space with the roof stowed. A front V8 and rear-mounted transmission distributed the powertrain mass, while independent suspension used transverse composite leaf springs. The 2004 LS1 specification drove the rear wheels with a 5.7-liter aluminum V8 and a six-speed manual. A slightly taller roof and folding top distinguished the convertible while retaining Corvette’s low, broad proportions.
