Vehicle details
The fifth-generation Corvette was an American sports car with a long nose and a wide, low two-seat cabin. The standard coupe used a removable roof and a large rear hatch, combining open-air driving with luggage access. Its front-mounted V8 and rear transmission supported balanced weight distribution. The LS1 combined an aluminum block and heads with electronic fuel injection; the later 2004-model manual version produced 350 horsepower. Convertible and fixed-roof performance models also formed part of this generation.
