Selected generation models, including overseas specifications

Vehicle details

This Impala belonged to Chevrolet’s redesigned full-size range for the 1965 model year. A full-size five-seat convertible combining a folding roof with a broad cabin. Two doors and a separate rear trunk accompanied a soft top that opened the space above both seating rows. A long, wide body and curved side glass softened its appearance compared with the preceding model. The standard six-cylinder version drove the rear wheels with a 230-cubic-inch OHV engine, a single-barrel carburetor and a three-speed manual. Available V8 engines and different transmissions broadened the range from everyday passenger use to more performance-oriented configurations.
