The 1990s return of Monte Carlo with V6 power and front-wheel drive.

Vehicle details

Monte Carlo returned for the 1995 model year with a different layout from the earlier rear-wheel-drive V8 coupe. A transversely mounted V6 drove the front wheels, beneath a long two-door body with a separate trunk. The LS offered seating for six with three positions in each row; an optional front-seat arrangement reduced capacity to five. In the 1999 LS, the 3.1-liter engine combined sequential fuel injection with a four-speed automatic. Its long body and generous cabin gave the coupe everyday practicality closer to that of a passenger sedan.
