Vehicle details
Introduced for the 2000 model year, this Monte Carlo was a front-wheel-drive two-door coupe. A sweeping roof, long doors and a separate trunk enclosed two front seats and room for three in the rear. The 2005 LS paired a 3.4-liter OHV V6 with a four-speed automatic, while performance versions used different V6 engines. Its front-engine layout supported a long wheelbase and useful cabin space. Although it shared its name with Chevrolet’s racing entries, the road car was a distinct passenger coupe designed for comfortable everyday driving.
