Vehicle details
This Nova generation arrived for the 1968 model year as Chevrolet’s rear-wheel-drive compact passenger car. The four-door sedan combined two seat rows and a separate trunk, accommodating six on front and rear benches. Its front-mounted engine and transmission sent power to a rear axle, with independent front suspension and rear leaf springs. The later 1974-model base 250-cubic-inch inline-six was advertised at 100 net horsepower. More manageable dimensions than a full-size car and generous seating suited everyday transport alongside the range’s coupe and V8 choices.
