Vehicle details
Introduced in 1965, the original Bronco was a compact four-wheel-drive vehicle intended for both roads and outdoor recreation. The Wagon combines two side doors with a full-length steel roof, an upward-opening rear window and a fold-down tailgate. Its roof and upper body sides are bolted on and can be removed. A short wheelbase aids maneuverability on narrow trails, while coil-sprung front suspension supports ride comfort. A front-mounted inline-six and three-speed manual work with a two-speed transfer case for road and rough-terrain use. Open Roadster and short-roof pickup-style bodies were also offered, while the Wagon protected passengers and luggage with a full enclosed body.
