F-150 Regular Cab

A rear-wheel-drive pickup with rounded body styling and a short passenger cab.

Selected generation models, including overseas specifications

Vehicle details

Introduced in 1996, this F-150 replaced angular pickup styling with a rounded front end and a smoother cab profile. It retained a separate frame supporting the passenger cab and cargo box while bringing a more passenger-car-like approach to its exterior and cabin. The regular-cab Styleside places a smooth-sided open box behind a single passenger compartment. The short-wheelbase 4x2 version drives the rear wheels; the 2004 US Heritage specification offered a 4.2-liter V6 and five-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The body continued in production under the Heritage name alongside the subsequent F-150.
