Vehicle details
Introduced in 2004, the Five Hundred is a full-size sedan that emphasizes passenger room and visibility through its tall body and elevated seating. Its four-door body has a separate trunk, a split-folding rear seat and a front center console with storage and cupholders. The 3.0-liter Duratec 30 V6 uses dual overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. The 2006 front-wheel-drive SEL pairs it with a six-speed automatic, while the front-wheel-drive SE and available all-wheel-drive versions use a CVT. Four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and power rack-and-pinion steering support everyday driving. The model reinterprets the usefulness of the American large sedan around a roomy cabin and elevated seating position.
