Vehicle details

First sold in 2008, the Flex is a three-row crossover that creates cabin space beneath a long roof and an upright rear profile. Horizontal channels along the body, broad windows and a low, elongated appearance distinguish it from conventional SUVs. The 2009 SE has a 3.5-liter Duratec V6, six-speed automatic transmission and standard seating for seven. Its second row folds in a 60:40 split and the third row in a 50:50 split; a flat-folding front passenger seat helps accommodate long items. Four-wheel disc brakes with ABS work alongside stability and roll-control systems. Rear auxiliary climate control and numerous storage spaces support family travel, while higher trims offer options including all-wheel drive and a multi-panel roof.
