Introduced in 2018, this Focus uses a new body platform and a longer wheelbase to increase rear-seat room. Hatchback and wagon versions share a front-wheel-drive layout, with the European five-door combining a short rear overhang and an upward-opening tailgate. Its 1.0-litre EcoBoost is a direct-injection turbocharged inline-three with cylinder deactivation that can pause one cylinder under light loads. The 100 PS version is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. Electronic stability control and torque vectoring manage traction at the front wheels, while available driver-assistance and connectivity features broaden its everyday usefulness.
