Vehicle details
Introduced in fall 2005, the North American Fusion is a four-door model that expanded Ford’s midsize sedan range. It combines a three-bar chrome grille across the nose with a separate trunk. The 2012 base S drives its front wheels with a 2.5-liter Duratec inline-four and six-speed manual transmission. Independent short- and long-arm front suspension works with an independent multilink rear layout. A 60:40 split-folding rear seat extends the usefulness of the trunk when carrying long items. The same generation also offered V6 engines, all-wheel drive and a hybrid powertrain, providing different choices for everyday use, performance and efficiency.
