Vehicle details
The pickup-bodied Maverick began reaching customers in 2021 as a compact addition to Ford’s truck range. Its four-door double cab is paired with a short open bed to carry both passengers and everyday loads. A tailgate and tie-down points make the bed useful for household items and outdoor equipment. The hybrid combines an Atkinson-cycle gasoline engine, an electric motor and an electronic continuously variable transmission. All-wheel drive later became available with the hybrid, expanding its range of uses. Separate EcoBoost gasoline versions and the off-road-oriented Tremor provide other choices within the compact pickup body.
