Vehicle details
Launched in 2007, the FD i30 was the compact hatchback that introduced Hyundai’s i naming system. Developed with European consumers in mind, its five-door body and front-wheel-drive layout combined passenger-car use with accessible cargo space. The early Korean 1.6-liter gasoline model paired an inline-four engine with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. Its roof extending over the rear cabin and upward-opening hatch distinguished it from a conventional sedan and established the foundation for the i30 lineage.
