Introduced in 2011, the i40 Wagon is Hyundai’s midsize passenger-car estate. Developed through Hyundai’s European organization, it differs from the related i40 sedan through a roof extending over a larger cargo area. A low passenger-car body and wide rear hatch combine family transport with luggage utility. The Korean 1.7-liter diesel configuration used a 1,685cc inline-four and a six-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels.
