Vehicle details

Introduced in 1999, the Trajet was Hyundai’s multipurpose passenger vehicle and was sold as Trajet XG in Korea. A high roof and long wheelbase supported a family-oriented cabin, while a rear hatch gave access to luggage space rather than a separate sedan trunk. The front-mounted engine and front-wheel-drive layout concentrated the drivetrain ahead of the passenger compartment. A Korean 2.0-liter diesel configuration paired a 1,991cc inline-four with a four-speed automatic transmission for practical passenger and long-distance use.
