Vehicle details
The JM Tucson arrived in 2004 as Hyundai’s compact crossover SUV. A shorter body than the Santa Fe, a high roof and a rear hatch combined manageable dimensions with useful cargo access. Early versions offered gasoline and diesel engines; the 2.0-liter inline-four diesel was paired with manual or automatic transmissions. Drivetrain availability differed by market and specification, with the early Korean four-wheel-drive diesel representing one of the original configurations.
