The 718 Boxster 982 retains the mid-engine roadster layout while adopting a turbocharged flat-four. The US 2017 base specification produces 300 hp from 1,988 cc; the S uses a 2,497 cc engine with a variable-turbine-geometry turbocharger. The base car measures 4,379 mm long, 1,801 mm wide and 1,281 mm high. A six-speed manual is standard, with seven-speed PDK available.
